📰 BREAKING: 500 Immigration Candidates Invited in

Saskatchewan’s Latest PNP Draw

Despite global travel restrictions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, Canada continues to welcome skilled immigrants through its Provincial Nominee Programs (PNPs). Saskatchewan remains one of the most active provinces, consistently inviting qualified candidates to support its labour market and economic growth.

In the latest Saskatchewan PNP draw held on July 29, the province issued 502 invitations to immigration candidates. Successful applicants who receive a provincial nomination will have a strong pathway toward obtaining Canadian Permanent Residence.

🇨🇦 Understanding the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP)

The Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP) invites foreign workers with the skills, education, and experience needed in the province. The goal is to select applicants who can settle and contribute to Saskatchewan’s workforce and communities.

In this draw, candidates were selected from the International Skilled Worker (ISW) category under two sub-streams:

🔹 1. Express Entry Sub-Category

For candidates already in the federal Express Entry system.

🔹 2. Occupation In-Demand Sub-Category

For skilled workers with experience in occupations facing shortages in Saskatchewan.

📝 How Candidates Were Selected

To qualify for an invitation, applicants first needed to submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) profile to the SINP.

SINP evaluates each EOI based on key human-capital factors such as:

    • Age

    • Skilled work experience

    • Education level

    • Language proficiency (English/French)

    • Connections to Saskatchewan

Each applicant is scored on the SINP Points Assessment Grid, with a maximum of 100 points. Candidates with higher scores are prioritized for invitations.

Those who receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA) can then submit their application for provincial nomination. Once nominated, candidates gain a significant advantage toward securing Canada PR through the federal immigration system.
